The Highlands Council is a non-profit organization in Issaquah Highlands with the mission to “foster the development of a vibrant and caring community committed to service, diversity, and well-being.” The Highlands Council manages Blakely Hall, Connections Newsletter, and community events.
Issaquah Highlands is a master-planned community providing a mix of single-family and multi-family residential, commercial, retail and recreational uses. Issaquah Highlands has approximately 4,000 homes, 750 in rental communities, an elementary school, a first-class destination shopping district called Grand Ridge Plaza, Swedish hospital and other medical services and is expecting the esteemed Bellevue College to begin building here soon.
The Work
I was responsible for all aspects of the project – Scoping, Planning, Design and Development. Our primary goals for the site:
Consolidate two domains
Implement a new user friendly design
Create a responsive layout
Implement a robust blogging and calendaring system
Launch the site before a key community milestone (Highlands Day 2014)
